HUD-CERTIFIED 8 HOURS CURRICULUM

This is the second of two homebuyer classes offered by The IMPACT! Group. If you have not already done so, please see the course description for our Introduction to Homeownership course before taking this class.This class is required if you are a first-time homebuyer and plan to seek Down Payment Assistance.

Designed for clients who have demonstrated that they are financially ready for homeownership, this class takes the next step and helps the student to become a savvy homebuyer. 

This workshop covers the following topics:

    1.       Getting Prepared for Home Purchase
    2.      Managing your Money
    3.      Understanding Credit
    4.      Getting a Mortgage
    5.      Shopping for a Home
    6.      Home Appraisals
    7.      Home Inspections
    8.     Homeowner Insurance

This class utilizes local professionals (lenders, real estate agents, home inspectors, appraisers, and insurance representatives) who will speak about the steps involved in the homebuying process.

You will be awarded a certificate of completion for this workshop.
