This class gives you insight into the basic steps you can take to try to save your home from foreclosure. This class is taught by a HUD-trained IMPACT! Housing Counselor with experience in  working with lenders and foreclosure prevention.

You will learn:

-The steps to take to avoid foreclosure
-Workout options, including short sales and mortage loan modifications
-The loss mitigation process and documentation required
-The foreclosure timeline in the state of Georgia
-How to avoid scams and predatory lending practices
-Information about President Obama's "Making Home Affordable" Plan
-How to write a financial hardship letter and prepare a household budget
