Foreclosure Prevention Orientation

 

Are you a homeowner experiencing financial difficulty? It's important that you understand your options as early as possible! This class gives you insight into the basic steps you can take to try to save your home from foreclosure. This class is taught by a HUD-trained IMPACT! Housing Counselor with experience in  working with lenders and foreclosure prevention.

You will learn:

1. Steps to take to avoid foreclosure
2. Workout options, including short sales and mortgage loan modifications
3. The loss mitigation process and documentation required
4. The foreclosure time line in the State of Georgia
5. How to avoid scams and predatory lending practices
6. Information about President Obama’s “Making Home Affordable Plan”
7. How to write a financial hardship letter and prepare a household budget
