About The IMPACT! Group
The IMPACT! Group, is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit community development corporation. The IMPACT! Group is the only CDC that offers a range of housing services from homelessness to home ownership in Georgia. The IMPACT! Group operates three main departments with specific areas of focus:
- IMPACT! Transitional Housing helps families in crisis move to self-sufficiency and permanent housing.
- IMPACT! Real Estate revitalizes low-income neighborhoods and creates safe and decent communities for low- and moderate-income families and seniors. We have developed and renovated more than 650 rental units since 1994. We are renovating Castor Village and this project should be completed by Spring, 2008.
- IMPACT! HomeOwnership Centers in Duluth and Elberton provide homebuyer and homeowner education, comprehensive housing counseling, and financial services such as mortgages and down payment assistance to first-time homebuyers and homeowners. (Mortgage financing is provided by Neighborhood Financial Services, an affiliate of The IMPACT! Group.)
